General Questions

When people see what I can achieve, they often have many questions. I try my best to answer everyone’s questions as clearly as possible. Here are the top five questions I always get asked when people see me at markets and art shows. I invite you to view my latest work and feel free to browse. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you!

How do you make these?

First, I begin by conceptualizing my desired design and using various Adobe programs to bring it to life. Finally, I convert the finished product into machine code for cutting. Vinyl is cut using a CNC router.

Do you use a laser machine?
I engrave and cut wood using a laser machine, but it’s important to note that a laser should never be used to cut vinyl records. This is because it produces harmful smoke that can be toxic to humans and also corrodes the machine. The smoke pollutes the air and can cause serious health issues. So, it’s better to avoid cutting vinyl records with a laser machine.
How long does it take to make one?

Some designs may require up to 8-16 hours for designing and up to 1 hour for cutting and cleaning using the CNC router and hand tools. Every individual piece is meticulously hand-finished and cleaned to ensure its quality.

What does back order mean on my website?

When an item is on backorder, it may take up to 10 working days for it to be cut and shipped.

Can you make custom pieces of art work?

If you can dream it, I can create a custom art piece for you to enjoy.

Do you buy vinyl records?

All of my records come from generous individuals who provide them to me for free. Additionally, I collect vinyl records from salvage yards, thrift stores, and recycling centres. I enjoy buying specific vinyl records that I can transform into unique art pieces.

I upcycle vinyl records into art pieces of all sizes – 7 inch (45s), 10 inch (78s), and 12 inch (33 1/2).

What do you recycle?
I make an effort to recycle everything I can. For instance, I turn old 78s into coasters, 45s into bowls, and 33 1/2 records into unique designs. Instead of buying new packaging, I recycle album covers to protect my unique designs. Additionally, I create guitar picks using the leftover scraps from my designs. I often give these guitar picks away for free at markets I attend. They’re a great conversation starter, and it feels excellent to repurpose something that would have otherwise been thrown away.
