Description
I am excited to present the latest piece in my Bauhaus series, meticulously crafted from recycled vinyl records paired with beautifully painted wood.
The Bauhaus movement, which thrived from 1919 to 1933, was a revolutionary force in the art world, striving to unify diverse forms of artistic expression into a cohesive and functional design philosophy. This movement emphasised the importance of merging individual artistry with the principles of mass production, ensuring accessibility and practicality. Bauhaus design is characterised by its striking use of abstract, angular, and geometric shapes that challenge conventional aesthetics while maintaining a commitment to minimal ornamentation that enhances the integrity of the materials used.

All records are produced using a CNC router, a safe and effective method for cutting vinyl. It’s important to note that cutting vinyl with a laser machine can release toxic substances, making the CNC router the preferred option for record cutting.
